Thieves Steal 16 Fire Hydrants

Sixteen fire hydrants were stolen in a Southern California town on September 11th, begging the question as to whether this theft better considered a statement to society. What ever the intent was, the result is going to cost more that $40,000.

Police suspect the thieves probably stole the hydrants for scrap metal money.

Students and security guards at Mesa Linda Middle School in Victorville initially thought Tamara Joyce Dawe, of Adelanto, had not shown up for work when they unlocked her classroom Tuesday morning, the Victorville Daily Press reported.

$3.6 Million of Weed Found Floating In Water

Oh, the gateway drug. It seems you can’t turn a southern California street or take a swim without being offered it.

The pot was packed into 160 bales atop a crate near Dana Point, and is estimated to be worth at least $3.6 million, according to CBS Los Angeles.

A boater first spotted the suspicious bales floating about 15 miles from shore around noon on Sunday, according to the Orange County Register.
